Schizoid personality disorder

Schizoid personality disorder is characterized by a long-standing pattern of indifference and social isolation. Schizoid personality disorder shares many of the same risk factors as schizophrenia, though it’s generally not as disabling. It does, however, cause hallucinations or delusions that often occur in untreated or treatment-resistant schizophrenia. Since people with the disorder rarely seek treatment, little is known about the most effective treatment methods.
