Schedule I controlled substance

Under the Controlled Substances Act of the United States certain drugs are classified as Schedule I by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Schedule I drugs are considered to have a high potential for abuse and has no currently accepted medical use in the United States. These drugs are illegal to manufacture, possess or distribute. Schedule I drugs include opiates such as Levomoramid and Propiram; opiate derivatives such as heroin; psychedelic drugs such as marijuana, peyote and mescaline; depressants such as methaqualone; and stimulants such as cathinone.
